This policy sets out in more detail the "Acceptable use" section of our Terms of Service, and it is part of those Terms. It applies to everyone who uses Mesakem, in every part of the service: the website and dashboard, the meeting assistant, the desktop app and smart dictation, the AI agent, the API, webhooks and connected services.
Recording and privacy
- No covert recording. Do not record people who do not know they are being recorded, where the law requires that they know or agree, and do not hide or disguise the meeting assistant or a recording. Our Recording and consent page explains what to do.
- No unlawful interception. Do not record, listen to, transcribe or capture meetings, calls or messages that you are not part of and have no right to record.
- Do not upload, import or connect recordings you have no right to use.
- Do not use Mesakem in a way that breaks privacy, data protection or employment law.
- Do not collect or share other people's personal data from meetings in breach of privacy law.
Harmful or unlawful activity
- No harassment, threats, stalking, bullying or hate speech, and no use of recordings to blackmail or shame anyone.
- No fraud, scams, phishing, or impersonating another person or organization.
- No spam. Send summaries, availability links and other emails from Mesakem only to people who expect them.
- No content that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of others.
- No content that sexually exploits or endangers children.
- No other activity that breaks the law that applies to you or to the people you record.
Security and fair use of the service
- Do not access, or try to access, accounts, workspaces or data that are not yours.
- Do not probe, scan or test the security of Mesakem without our written permission. If you find a security issue, report it to support@mesakem.com.
- Do not disrupt or overload the service, and do not get around rate limits, usage limits or plan limits, for example by opening several accounts to get more free meetings.
- Do not copy, decompile or reverse engineer Mesakem, except where the law allows it.
- Keep passwords, API keys and other credentials to yourself and the people you authorize.
Reselling and commercial use
- Do not resell, rent, sublicense or share access to Mesakem, and do not offer it to others as part of your own service, unless we agreed to it in writing.
- Using the API, webhooks and integrations to connect Mesakem to your own tools and workflows is fine.
- Do not use Mesakem or its output to build or train a competing product.
AI-generated content
- Summaries, transcripts, tasks and AI agent answers are generated automatically and can be wrong. Review them before you pass them on or rely on them.
- Do not present AI-generated content as a word-for-word record, or as something a person said, when it is not.
- Do not use Mesakem to create unlawful, deceptive or harmful content.
What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove content, suspend an API key, a webhook endpoint or a connection, or suspend or close an account that breaks this policy, as our Terms of Service set out. We may also report unlawful activity to the authorities.
To report misuse of Mesakem, including a recording you believe was made unlawfully, write to support@mesakem.com.
