Frequently asked questions about Mesakem
How the meeting bot joins, what you receive afterward, who can see the output, and how privacy, integrations and plans work.
Bot & Meetings
Does the bot record without my knowledge?
No. The bot joins the meeting as a visible participant with a clear name ('Mesakem'). Everyone in the meeting sees it and can remove it. No hidden recording — transparency is a core product principle.
What if the host doesn't admit the bot?
If the bot stays in the lobby and isn't admitted, the system marks the meeting as 'not admitted'. No partial summary is created and no recording is saved. You can see the status in the dashboard.
Can the bot join any meeting?
The bot joins Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. It joins only when an authorized user sends it an invite — directly via email, calendar, or Quick Summon in the dashboard.
What does the bot do in the meeting? (camera, mic)
The bot joins as a visible participant with its microphone muted. It listens but does not speak, initiate conversation or respond to questions during the meeting.
Does the bot join live phone calls?
Not in the LINK workflow. Mesakem processes available call recordings after the call and produces a transcript, summary and tasks. The visible participant bot is used for Zoom, Teams and Google Meet meetings.
Summaries & Transcripts
How long until the summary arrives?
Processing begins after the meeting ends and the media is available. Delivery time depends on meeting length, recording availability and system load; progress is visible in the dashboard.
What language is my summary written in?
Your summary is written in the output language you choose in Settings. Mesakem processes meetings in a wide range of languages and writes the summary in natural, professional phrasing for decisions and tasks. You can manage summary style through custom templates in the dashboard.
What about mixed-language meetings?
The system detects and transcribes multiple languages spoken in the same meeting. Technical terms in another language are preserved as-is, and the overall summary is written in your selected output language.
Can I set a custom summary template?
Yes. The dashboard has template management. You can create templates with instructions tailored to the meeting type (sales, internal, client), set a default template, and archive old ones.
What's the difference between summary and transcript?
Transcript is a full word-for-word transcription of everything said in the meeting. Summary is AI-processed output containing: meeting topic, key decisions, task list with ownership, and open points. Both are available in the dashboard for download.
Privacy & Security
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in secure cloud services. OAuth tokens and access credentials are encrypted. Access is limited to what's needed to operate the service.
How long are recordings retained?
Under our privacy policy, recordings, transcripts and summaries are retained until you request deletion. Contact support@mesakem.com; deletions are processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
Who can see my summaries?
Only email addresses you've verified in the dashboard will receive summaries. Unverified addresses cannot be used. Dashboard access is restricted to the logged-in account only.
How do I delete my data?
Contact support@mesakem.com with a deletion request. You can also disconnect calendar integrations and manage recipients directly from the dashboard.
Is my data shared with third parties?
Data is shared only with service providers needed to operate the product — hosting, database, email delivery, transcription and summarization. Personal data is never sold to any third party.
Integrations
Which platforms are supported?
Zoom and Microsoft Teams are the core focus. Google Meet is supported. Plus LINK integrations for recorded phone call summaries.
How do I connect a calendar?
From the dashboard → 'Connect Google Calendar' or 'Connect Microsoft Calendar' button. The bot gets read-only access and automatically detects upcoming meetings with Zoom/Teams/Meet links.
What is LINK and how does it work?
LINK is an Israeli phone call recording provider. Connect a LINK account from the dashboard, and Mesakem receives call recordings and generates summaries and tasks — just like video meetings.
How does the Telegram agent work?
From the dashboard, generate a personal connection link to the Mesakem Telegram bot. Once connected, the bot sends summaries, reminds you about tasks, and lets you view and update from your phone without opening a browser.
Can I connect multiple emails to receive summaries?
Yes. You can add multiple verified email addresses. Each goes through verification before receiving summaries. You can remove them anytime from the dashboard.
