Mesakem guides
Meeting transcription that leads to a useful summary
Mesakem creates a detailed record of supported meetings and uploaded recordings, then turns that record into a concise layer for action. Use the transcript to verify wording and context; use the summary to understand the outcome and move the work forward.
What is the difference between a meeting transcript and a meeting summary?
A transcript follows what was said through the conversation and provides evidence and context. A summary processes that record into the topics, decisions, tasks, owners and open questions needed for follow-up. The transcript answers 'what was said?'; the summary answers 'what matters next?'
Two complementary layers from one conversation
A complete record and a concise outcome are not interchangeable.
Mesakem documents a supported online meeting through its visible participant workflow, or processes an existing recording uploaded to the dashboard. The transcript preserves the conversation as the source for later review.
The summary then organizes the source by meaning rather than simply shortening every paragraph. It highlights the discussion themes, decisions, follow-up actions, owners and unresolved issues.
- Chronological source record
- Speaker context where available
- Topic and decision extraction
- Tasks and owners
- Open questions for follow-up
Know when to open the transcript
Most readers need the summary first, but some questions require the source.
Return to the transcript to check a quote, name, number, commitment or the context around a statement. Search it for a detail that did not belong in the short summary.
Use the summary to brief an absent teammate, prepare a follow-up, review decisions or transfer next actions into the team's workflow.
- Transcript: exact wording and full context
- Transcript: details omitted from the digest
- Summary: rapid understanding
- Summary: decisions and follow-through
Built for real conversations, including mixed terminology
Business conversations often cross languages, names, acronyms and product terms within the same sentence.
Mesakem's existing product source explicitly supports Hebrew, English and Arabic meeting workflows and is designed around mixed Hebrew-English work conversations. Language quality should be tested with the names, accents and terminology that matter to your own team.
No transcription system should be evaluated only by a broad accuracy claim. The useful test is whether errors affect a decision, amount, date, owner or other consequential detail.
- Test names of people, companies and products
- Review acronyms and specialized terminology
- Check figures, dates, amounts and percentages
- Confirm speaker attribution around commitments
Use the source to review high-impact details
The transcript makes the summary auditable, not automatically perfect.
Review whether the summary transformed an idea into an approved decision, closed a question that remained open, or attached an action to the wrong person. Keep missing information visibly missing.
Share only the material relevant to the recipient and consistent with workspace permissions, participant notice and your organization's retention policy.
- Compare sensitive facts with the source
- Correct speaker or ownership mistakes
- Preserve uncertainty
- Limit sharing to the intended audience
Choose the right input for the conversation
Live online meetings, uploaded files and recorded phone calls enter through different product paths.
Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet use the visible meeting-agent workflow. Existing audio or video files can be uploaded after the fact.
Recorded business phone calls use the separate supported LINK connector after a recording becomes available. This transcription page does not imply that Mesakem joins arbitrary phone calls or supports every telephony provider.
- Supported online meeting bot
- Manual recording upload
- Supported LINK recording connector
- No universal live-call or PBX claim
Questions and answers
Can I receive both a transcript and a summary?
Yes. The transcript serves as the detailed source, while the summary presents the context, decisions, tasks and open questions in a faster format.
Does Mesakem guarantee a perfect transcript?
No. Names, numbers, dates, terminology, speaker changes and consequential commitments should be reviewed against the source before sensitive use.
Can Mesakem process an uploaded recording?
Yes. Uploading an existing recording is a supported path and is separate from inviting the live meeting bot.
Does this mean every phone system is supported?
No. The current phone-call path is based on recordings available through the supported LINK connector. Other providers are not implied.
